Pastels for Spring? Groundbreaking.

If you’re in the Madison area you know it’s been a long, cold Spring. I think yesterday it finally got over 80 for the first time! I’m a hot weather lover, so it’s been tough dealing with weeks of rainy and chilly days. Despite the dismal weather, though, I’ve tried to keep things Springy in the wardrobe department and these pants have been my go-to piece.

I got them in a recent Anthropologie sale for $40 (originally like $130!) and they have been the perfect cold Spring wear. I love the vibrant color, the flattering fit, and the fact that they’re surprisingly wearable. They pair well with a lot more than I thought they would – I love them with a tee shirt and sneakers or dressed up with a button down and mule for work.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like they’re on the Anthro website any more, but here are a few similar pairs of purple pants, if you’re looking: slimmer, chino style and v similar but more expensive linen version.

I’ve also been on a Spring kick with my accessories. I bought these abalone Didi earrings from Kendra Scott for my birthday back in March and they have been the best transition pieces. I get so many compliments on them and they bring a nice pop of color to my face. I love the blue-green tones, which work really well with my (increasingly) pink skin.

They are a little bit on the expensive side for a pair of fun earrings (and totally transparency I bought them with my employee discount), but keep your eyes peeled for sales at Kendra. I def recommend following her on Instagram and watching her stories because that’s often where she’ll announce upcoming sales and promotions. Or if it’s your birthday month, you can totally use your 50% birthday discount on them!

I’m also wearing a couple of my classic accessories here too: my original basket bag, my old Who What Wear collection mules that I’m shocked I haven’t completely worn through yet, and my House of Ginkgo watch that I wear everyday (on sale for under $100 right now!).

That’s all for today! I’ve been meaning to share this outfit for ages and am hoping I can trade it in for shorts and dresses sometime soon. It’s supposed to gorgeous today so fingers crossed. Have a fun weekend, y’all!
