    Welcome to ICYMI!

Happy Sunday and welcome to my new weekly post, In Case You Missed It! Each week I’ll be rounding up all my favorite pop culture moments, viral content, and everything thing that I’m culturally consuming at the moment. I definitely still plan on doing more in-depth posts on things like the Bachelor (duh) and posting more book reviews this year, but I wanted a space to more casually share everything on my radar. Repeal the 8th: Dublin’s March for Choice

With everything going on surroundingĀ Planned Parenthood back in the U.S. and the continuous fight against access to safe abortions, I felt compelled to attend the March for Choice in Dublin last Saturday. In Ireland, abortion is illegal under the 8th amendment of the constitution and a criminal offense with a sentence up to 14 years in prison. Many women travel outside the country to obtain safe and legal abortions and there continues to be pushback from the government to repeal the 8th amendment. The march itself was a mix of things: there was yelling, angerĀ and frustration, but thereĀ was also laughter and humor and friendship. There were families with small children…
